Reconciling work and family life, equal opportunities and integration are our guiding principles when designing our support.<\/p>\n<p>With over 900 employees - including over 200 trainees and students - we are a recognized and important specialist and training institution in the social sector.<\/p>\n<p>Our childcare services provide parents with important relief in their daily educational routine and offer children and adolescents a safe place for healthy development.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\t\"In tune with the times\" - our offer\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Today, our services include over 40 daycare centers with around 1700 childcare places, the Lindenberg children's home and three decentralized residential groups, the Im Vogelsang transit home, women's counseling and the foster children's center.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-0\"  tabindex=\"0\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\"  id=\"fl-accordion--label-0\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-0\">Daycare<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>In over 40 daycare centers with around 1700 childcare places in the Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Aargau regions, familea offers a high-quality childcare service in which children feel comfortable, can build sustainable relationships and are encouraged in their interests and strengths.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-1\"  tabindex=\"0\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\"  id=\"fl-accordion--label-1\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-1\">Children and youth homes<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\tThe children's homes provide a place for about 80 children and young people.<br \/>\nIn the Lindenberg children's home and the decentralized residential groups, familea offers children and adolescents protection, security and support with socio-educational care.<br \/>\nIn the transit home Im Vogelsang, familea offers children in acute need a safe place to stay immediately and around the clock through crisis interventions and recommends suitable follow-up solutions after careful and multiprofessional clarification of the respective overall situation.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-2\"  tabindex=\"0\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\"  id=\"fl-accordion--label-2\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-2\">Center for Foster Children (ZPK)<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>Through the Center for Foster Children (ZPK), over 200 children and adolescents a year find protection, security and a perspective through reliable family relationships thanks to the approximately 300 foster families from its own placement pool, when care in the family of origin is not possible for various reasons.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-3\"  tabindex=\"0\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\"  id=\"fl-accordion--label-3\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-3\">Women's Counseling<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>The social and legal counseling of familea Frauenberatung is an offer for women in difficult life situations. The breadth of the offering also provides employees with the opportunity for networking and personal development.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\t\"Fine meshes - strong net\" - our story\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>familea was founded in 1901 as the \"Basler Frauenverein\" (Basel Women's Association) to support women and especially unmarried mothers who were economically, socially and legally disadvantaged.
