The Lützelstrasse daycare center celebrated its 75th anniversary - with a lavish anniversary brunch, children's laughter and a special performance by the daycare children. Over 100 guests experienced a celebration full of community, joy and gratitude.

On Saturday, August 16, 2025, the Ettingen daycare center officially opened its new premises at Hauptstrasse 23 - in the former BLKB building. Numerous guests from the neighborhood and the region accepted the invitation and celebrated this special moment together with us.

On Saturday, September 13, 2025 we celebrate 75 years of Kita Kleinhüningen - from 11.00 to 16.00 at Kleinhüningerstrasse 150, Basel. Come and join us!

Councillor Mustafa Atici visited one of our familea daycare centers and discussed early childhood education, integration and vocational training with our specialists. The personal visit underlined the importance of strong networks - and was an appreciative signal for the daily work in our daycare centers.

Congratulations! 67 trainees specializing in childcare EFZ have successfully passed the qualification procedure.

From June 19 to 22, 2025, familea welcomed over 921 children and numerous parents to the Art Basel exhibition grounds as part of Art Kids - and created a protected, inspiring space for imagination, movement and encounters.

Discover art, play, be creative: With Art Kids, familea is designing the children's program at Art Basel for the first time - a lovingly supervised adventure space for children aged 4 to 12 with a creative studio, bouncy castle, play area and retreat. While adults enjoy art, young guests experience a great program.

The Ettingen daycare center has moved: Since June 2, 2025, the daycare center has been located at Hauptstrasse 23 in Ettingen, in the former BLKB building.

The cultural days at the Wasgenring daycare center playfully sensitize the children to the diversity of cultures and languages.

On January 24, 2025, more than 560 employees from familea daycare centers came together at the Congress Center Basel to further deepen their knowledge of the learning stories method.
