In the Lindenberg children's home and the decentralized residential groups, familea offers children and young people protection, security and support with socio-educational care.
Crisis intervention and clarification
The Im Vogelsang transit home offers support for crisis intervention and for clarification orders (BEO) 365 days a year, around the clock.

125 years of familea - a pioneer by tradition
On February 14, 1901, Lily Zellweger-Steiger laid the foundation stone for familea. Over more than a century, her initiative developed into a social organization that accompanies, strengthens and supports children, women and families in Basel and the region.
A place for children's rights
To mark International Children's Rights Day, children at our familea locations are designing over 50 creative chairs on their most important rights.
Graffiti project by the Oberwilerstrasse residential group
The Oberwilerstrasse residential group has redesigned its exterior wall together with ARTWITHUS. The result is a colorful graffiti that makes creativity, community and joie de vivre visible - for the young people and the entire neighborhood.
