The Lindenberg children's home is centrally located in Kleinbasel with a wonderful view of the Rhine and Basel Minster and has been offering children and young people a safe home since 1999. The residential groups are divided into age groups: Children aged 5 to 15 live in the White and Red groups, while young people aged 15 and over live in the Yellow and Green groups.
In the house, we promote respectful coexistence and facilitate cross-group encounters. In addition to the four residential groups, communal areas such as a youth room, a small workshop and the large inner courtyard provide space for activities and socializing.
Camps and excursions are regularly organized during the vacations. Highlights include the group and adventure camps in the summer vacations, the winter camp and active participation in the Basel carnival during the carnival vacations. Former residents, families and friends come together in the inner courtyard for a social get-together at the annual home party.
In this cooperation, it is important to us to maintain and live a trusting and respectful relationship. We attach great importance to close cooperation with the children, young people and their families of origin in order to ensure optimal development. The children and young people have a say and are actively involved in shaping group life. Their individual concerns are taken seriously and dealt with in constructive discussions. Through this exchange, they are encouraged to recognize their own strengths and to contribute them appropriately to life together - the children and young people are accompanied and supported by a diverse, warm and humorous team.
