Our anniversary celebration was so great!

In glorious weather, familea celebrated its 125th anniversary on June 6 with a large family festival on Münsterplatz. Numerous guests enjoyed a varied program with attractions, stage performances, culinary offerings and many opportunities to meet and chat. The festival made visible what familea has stood for for 125 years: the compatibility of work and family, equal opportunities and integration.

Franz Hofmann attended the Jungstrasse daycare center as a child and is now completing his training there as a childcare specialist. Telebasel has followed his special career.

At the media coffee break at the familea office, media representatives were given an insight into the history, development and anniversary program for familea's 125th birthday.

On February 14, 1901, Lily Zellweger-Steiger laid the foundation stone for familea. Over more than a century, her initiative developed into a social organization that accompanies, strengthens and supports children, women and families in Basel and the region.

To mark International Children's Rights Day, children at our familea locations are designing over 50 creative chairs on their most important rights.

The Oberwilerstrasse residential group has redesigned its exterior wall together with ARTWITHUS. The result is a colorful graffiti that makes creativity, community and joie de vivre visible - for the young people and the entire neighborhood.

Discover art, play, be creative: With Art Kids, familea is designing the children's program at Art Basel for the first time - a lovingly supervised adventure space for children aged 4 to 12 with a creative studio, bouncy castle, play area and retreat. While adults enjoy art, young guests experience a great program.

During the carnival week, the three residential groups of the children's and youth homes experienced an unforgettable ski camp week in Grächen.
