After months of preparation, the daycare center "In den Neumatten" celebrated its 50th anniversary party on Saturday, June 10, 2023.
The managing director of familea, Monika Bitterli, Mrs. Hauert from the ED and the division manager Alois Braun welcomed all guests present.
In her speech, Tatjana Mitbauer, the head of the daycare center, gave a brief history of how the daycare center was founded by the Riehen Women's Association until it was taken over by the Basel Women's Association and its name was changed to familea.
From 12:00 noon to 20:00 in the evening, numerous adults and children accepted the invitation, in bright weather.
Visitors were offered many attractions, such as face painting for children, a photo exhibition, a magician, a children's cocktail stand, a photo box, a creative stand, drinks, popcorn and much more.
The newly acquired bouncy castle was the absolute highlight for the children, along with the original Italian ice cream stand.
The musical entertainment started with the Basel veteran, the organ player Willy.
The barbecue stand of our cook Geraldine and her helpers provided for the physical well-being. Our familea central kitchen supplied various delicious salads and as dessert there were numerous sweet delicacies.
A rousing live band provided a crowning and successful musical finale in the early evening, to which everyone danced happily before happily making their way home.
