On March 27, 2026, Kita Soleweg and Kita Zottelbär took part in the «School Meets Business» table fair in Rheinfelden.

familea is a new member of Alliance Enfance, an association of organizations that work for good conditions for children and families throughout Switzerland.

On February 14, 1901, Lily Zellweger-Steiger laid the foundation stone for familea. Over more than a century, her initiative developed into a social organization that accompanies, strengthens and supports children, women and families in Basel and the region.

The Zottelbär daycare center has been QualiKita-certified since January 27, 2026. Daycare center director Daniela Volpe and her team decided to take on the challenge of QualiKita certification back in 2024.
