"What's growing...?!"

The children of the Roche Solitude daycare center discover the world of plants and animals with "Hermione the bee".

Spring has arrived at the familea Kita Roche Solitude. With the first warm rays of sunshine, our garden project "Hermione the bee" accompanied the children through the project and together we observed how plants develop from seeds, how to care for them and in the process the children learn what a mindful approach to the plant and animal world looks like.

Hermine led the children through various activities. We took advantage of the children's natural enthusiasm and enabled them to have a variety of experiences with all their senses. We were able to feel a barefoot path, experience an olfactory memory, create pictures with soil and natural materials, discover natural materials tactilely, plant cress and plant four raised beds with berries and vegetables. Parents were informed about the project with a weekly schedule and are invited to visually experience the garden project through photo walls of the offerings that are hung throughout the daycare.

The cross-group offers, designed by our team, were able to arouse the interest of the children and we were able to make beautiful experiences as a whole house. This project was our starting signal for the summer, in which we consciously dedicate ourselves to creativity as well as movement in the daily care routine.
