To mark International Children's Rights Day, familea is focusing on the importance of children's rights. Children and young people should know and understand their rights and be able to experience them in everyday life. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child has formed the basis for this for 36 years.
With our campaign «A place for children's rights» we make these rights visible and tangible. At our various familea locations, children and young people engage with children's rights and design a chair for the right that is particularly important to them. Over 50 creative chairs have been created in our organization. It's not just about color and design. The campaign stimulates conversation, reflection and awareness - moments in which children feel: «I have rights. I am heard. My opinion has a place.»
We will reveal what happens to all these chairs and what special place the children's rights chairs will be given at a later date. We are delighted with the many inspiring contributions and look forward to empowering children and young people every day to know and live their rights.
